Jon Favreau’s Awesome Series PREHISTORIC PLANET Renewed for Season 2 on Apple TV+ — GeekTyrant

Apple TV+ announced that the Jon Favreau-production of a documentary series about dinosaurs Prehistoric Planet renewed for a second season! If you haven’t seen the first season yet, you should, because it’s awesome!

The series offered an experience that combined breathtaking nature photography with the latest visual effects techniques to show us what dinosaurs would have looked like in their natural habitats. It presented interesting little-known facts about dinosaur life, and the Cretaceous environments it presented included coasts, deserts, fresh water, ice worlds and forests.

Jay Hunt, Creative Director, Europe, Apple TV+, shared in a statement: “The award-winning first season of Prehistoric Planet brought dinosaurs back to life in a way that global audiences had never seen before. Working with the brilliant Jon Favreau and our fantastic partners at the BBC, we are thrilled that viewers will once again have the chance to immerse themselves in our world as it was 66 million years ago and experience even more weird and wonderful creatures.”
