Law enforcement, along with political and religious leaders, have come together to address recent anti-Semitic acts in the county. Just last week, hate groups displayed an anti-Semitic message on the grandstand at Daytona International Speedway. They also distributed flyers in Volusia County neighborhoods.
The protests were led by Jon Minadeo II, a high school dropout who founded the white supremacist organization Goyim Defense League. He had previously been arrested in Poland for receiving visitors outside the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
