“Dude, you can’t get into Twitter Spaces when you’re in the bathroom, bro.”
What is Elon Musk up to these days?
The serious answer is many things, like trying to gather engineers to build an anti-“woke” AI and trying to revive Twitter’s desiccated crust, but in his downtime, he seems to be tinkering with the social networking site he bought last year.
And as the bird site’s obedient and ever-faithful servant, Elon helps out his dwindling engineering staff (whom he keeps laying off) by testing a voice transformer in the Spaces live-streaming feature.
As Knowledgeable reports, Musk co-hosted the 11-minute stream with Jason Calacanis, a fellow entrepreneur and podcaster — in the middle of the night.
A clownish clown, Elon announced his entrance by clucking a rooster’s sound effect, which made them both laugh.
What followed was essentially an endless cacophony of comic sounds and excited laughter.
At one point, Musk raised his voice, which Kalakanis noted sounded “like sun from a balloon.”
“Oh, there’s a new, like, voice tool changer in here?” asked.
Musk replies that there is a voice transformer, which now sounds like a disembodied voice in a cave, drenched in reverberation. “There’s a whole speaker,” he said. “Can you see the speaker?”
“I can’t see the speaker!” exclaimed a bewildered Kalakanis.
It was apparently 2am for the CEO, who is known to be a bit of a night owl with a ‘nocturnal’ sleeping schedule. After all, he has a bunch of businesses to run.
That’s, apparently, what he does in the late hours — during which he’s previously called in Twitter engineers to figure out why his tweets weren’t as popular as President Joe Biden’s.
Musk also played some toilet flushing sounds and blasted his audience with some loud farting noises.
“Man, you can’t go on Twitter Spaces when you’re in the bathroom bro,” Kalakanis joked, as quoted Knowledgeable.
But as an everyman billionaire, Musk isn’t above toilet humor.
Ultimately, though, Elon decided he was having fun, saying it was “kind of fun.”
“Well, I have to go to bed,” he announced. “See you later!”
Say what you will about the eccentric billionaire, but he knows how to put on a show.
